The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.
— William Arthur Ward
In my life, I have been extremely fortunate to have had the best teachers over the years. From Mrs. Modjaheadpour in first grade, to Mr. Morrison in sixth grade, to Mr. Cartwright in tenth grade. I have met teachers that dedicate themselves completely to their students. Teachers that exude passion and compassion. Teachers that love and teach with a full heart.
But I must say that they best teachers I have met have walked into my life in the last four years. They are a group of well educated, compassionate, loving teachers that have helped make me who I am today. They have held my hand in the hardest of times, encouraged me when I felt I was failing, and been there just to listen.
These 21 teachers are the girls of 2010.

Julia, you’re so out there.
You’ve taught me to never be square.
I admire your sense of self.
And of course, on Halloween, the way you dress yourself!

Dancing, prancing, Louisa, who’s always well dressed.
It’s a miracle, my love, you never seem stressed!
So, from you I’ve learned, to take a deep breath,
To be calm, to focus, and realize- college applications aren’t death.

Oh Selena, Selene, lessons you’ve got plenty.
Reasons I love you? There’s far more than twenty.
Undying loyalty, from you I have learned.
And of course, that trust should be earned.
Your love is fierce, your heart it pure.
For any 2010 sadness- your “No Pants Dance” is the cure.

Izadora Hendry, I insist is your name
Never forget, that deep inside you, burns a bright, creative flame.
You’ve made me look around, search round and round
Made me realize that everywhere- art can be found.

Ms. Yessam, you and those magic shoes,
To me, you are quite simply a muse!
You always keep your cool, in the worst of times,
Even after the shadiest of crimes!

Princess Moonbeam, you exude class.
Even on the court, as you shoot and pass.
You’ve made it rather clear to me, in this lovely city
You can play tough but still look pretty.

Smoore you’re bubbly, full of delight.
You’re sweet, you’re classy, and undeniably bright.
Your deep Southern roots have inspired me, dear.
To live and love Atlanta, even listen to country with no fear.

Lo Lo Nobelite- the most Alternative girl around.
When it comes to the sunny side of life, the girl deserves a crown.
For you, every glass is half full
With your outlook on life, hardly anything is dull!
